Default Dinghy Lift

Considering adding a lift on Maxum 4600 to carry our dinghy. It is a product produced in Canada where I am but is similar to Freedom Lift. Wondering if anyone has installed something like that and have any opinion about it, including affect on operation of boat itself.

Thanks

A lot of pronouns, but no link to the product or even a product name. It's going to be tough to answer your question.

Shrew, thank you for the reply. I saw that but was hoping for a reply. Just bought a 4600 SCB and I am looking to install a 10' highfield dingy with an auto davit system. Any suggestions?

Default Dinghy Lift

Yes I did install one and am very happy with it.

It was installed by a compay local to me in Midland Ontario Canada

sunnyside.machine@rogers.com is the email. I dealt with Marc Plourde and I believe he is the owner.

This is their website https://sunnysidemachine.com/

I am attaching 2 pictures from our installation

BRitter1, thank you for the quick reply, the information and the pictures....

Looks wonderful!

I am located in Oxnard, CA. Just bought our 4600 SCB.

I'd appreciate being able to communicate with you about the boat and issues...

Whats make, model and the size of the dingy? Total weight?

Default dinghy

Our Dinghy is a Highfield 390 Sport. We bought it new in 2022. Absolutely love it.

We put about 700-800 miles on it per year and we have a relatively short boating season up here.

We put the optional 60 hp on it and it easily planes even with 4-5 people on it and unfortunately I am not a small person.

It is very good in all sorts of water.

I believe it is about 750 lbs with 60 hp and full fuel.

You are welcome send any questions. Enjoy your new boat.

As you can see, our dinghy is not allowed to go anywhere without our dog giving directions

Hi Bruce - separate question....batteries. You have one (1) each for the cummins (Group 8D Dual Purpose Marine AGM Battery for example) what about for the house bank and the generator? Do you have an inverter/charger? If yes, which one?

Thanks,
John
