Default Columbia River boating

I am looking for info for a possible trip to the Columbia river in the near future.
I have a Maxum 2400 SCR with a 13lb Danforth style anchor with 10ft. of chain and 150ft 1/2 in nylon line.
Question is will that work on the river?
It works very well here in California where I boat on lakes and Sacramento River.
Any and all info and input would be great.

Thank you.
Don

Don't see why it wouldn't.

It all depends on the current. Whats that like where you will drop the hook?

The current is sometimes strong sometimes light, wind is the same.
It can be calm one minute and then windy the next. I was hoping someone that had boated there or one that is currently boating there would give some info as to what the bottom was like?
Just would hate to drag boat all that way to find out I do not have the correct ground tackle for the area.
Thanks Phillbo.

Is there a marina where you can rent a slip for the night and experiment with your set up during the day before you overnight on the hook?

This is in the near future, just starting the planing.
Will more than likely be next year.
Good advise to git a slip for a couple days and scope things out.
Thanks Phillbo.
