Default Calorifier not connected

Hello all

We bought a new boat to us in June and its our first... steep learning curve for both of us but we've been out a huge amount and have done a fair bit to the boat to improve it.

Is a Maxum 2600 SE.

Just looked at the calorifier tonight and I don't think it's connected to the engine, it's a mercruiser 5.0ltr Mag 350. The paperwork shows the calorifier was replaced recently.

Does anyone know if this boat came with the connections for a calorifier already connected, where would I find them. I'm quite mechanically minded and happy to get dirty sorting this out.

Water heater? If yes it is currently wired for shore power only but there are two hose connections to use engine coolant to heat the water as well. One would get connected to a fitting on the engines intake manifold neat the thermostat housing and the other to a fitting on the suction side of the engine circulating pump.
