Default Bravo 2 stuck in forward

I went to dock today and couldn't get my starboard drive out of forward. It won't go into neutral or reverse. If I shift to either neutral or reverse it just stays in forward. This is on a 1999 scr3000. The helm controller does move but does not disengage the drive. Any thoughts?

Do you know if the cable from the controller is actually moving the shift lever on your outdrive? Isolate the problem to either the controller, the cable, or the outdrive.

Broken shift cable. Had to spend an entire week last year in Hells Canyon with forward only. Made for interesting docking every afternoon.
