Default Bimini Top

I have a question about the bimini top on my 1900.
When I lay it down it seems to dig into the sunpad seat cushion. Is it okay to leave it up when I'm towing the boat ? Doesn't really seem sturdy enough to leave in the up position, plus a lot of weight when its all rolled up.

Any thoughts on this would be welcome...

I always tow with the bimini in the up position. The only time I didn't was when I towed it from VA to FL and put a second towable cover on in case of rain. The bimini stretched the sunpad cushion and left a mark (which came out with some cleaner) The top cover rubbed holes in the factory cover where it stretched over the bimini mounting points. Pissed me off.

I was told by the dealer to always tow with the bimini up.

Thank you. That's good to know.
