Thumbs up Big News...I'm staying....

Country me, shrew, Jonnathan...and everyone else here on the MOC....I am truly touched with your comments and support.....I have some good news and some bad news....
first the good news....I'm staying .....I know this all sounds like a lot of drama going on but today I got up early...grabbed the wife and we ran for breakfast and an errand...then went to the boat to start taking our junk out of her...(the boat)...well...marsha thought I was bluffing and half way thru loading the truck up with our junk...she broke down and ( I think she thought I was bluffing) started crying saying I didn't even concider what she wanted........but when I told her that she means more to me than a boat...although I would miss the boat and boating....she's more important to me....we talked for about an hr and she promised to try and learn to drive the boat and take a more active roll in the boat ..we'll take some training together......and I'll try and hold my temper as best I can......after arguing about the boat lately for a whole week..I was tired of it all and I felt to regain peace and harmony ..it was the best thing to do..concidering...

now for the bad news......I am totally sorry for creating all this drama when I was seriously taking all the steps to get out of boating......for that I'm sorry for creating such a furor but I really thought the wife would be tickled silly about me selling the boat.......it was the last thing on my mind to do here....I enjoy this place as you guys know.....I enjoy all the comradery we experience without the drama.......as there are with other sites....

for all of you that has spoken out on my behalf and understanding..I am grateful for your comments and friendship...

thanks......

Steve

Steve great news, on a side note my wife is studying for her skippers ticket and taking an active role in trying to learn more....... Not always a good thing she is already correcting my navigation and docking skills...... Thought that was reserved for in the car but apparently again I was wrong.... again!

Best news this week! Enjoy the summer

Sometimes people, men and women, just want to know that their significant other cares about what they want. Now that Marsha truly knows that you do, that may be all she really needed. A bit of a roller coaster, perhaps, but that's life.

Super news for you both Steve. Great that you'll be sticking around MOC, but even greater that you and Marsha will be out on WW - together.

So far, I don't see what you did wrong in any of this and therefore see no need for an apology. Since you shouldn't be giving one, and I certainly don't expect one.....I'm personally not going to accept one either.

Boating course....always good. Having the admiral drive? I'd say get her back to loving being on the boat first, before you crank up teh stress levels. that way, no matter what goes wrong, it's your fault and you have no reason to do anything but blame yourself. LOL

Steve, i'd welcome back, but let's face it, you never really left. You would have been gone longer if you were on vacation.

In summary, I refused to say goodbye, refused to accept and apology and refused to welcome you back. As far as I'm concerned...status quo.

However, I AM thrilled to see that you're staying.

Great to hear that your sticking around! Would hate to hear that you had to make that choice but I agree with you that it would have been the right one. Luckily you were able to work things out. Your advice on here has been invaluable and greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and your family for their support.

Good to hear that all will stay as it has been for you and your presence on the board! I know I have been greatly helped by your advise and look forward to continue challenging you!
I have challenged my missus to get her boat card and take a course, heck I cetainly could use the refresher myself.. The real challenge comes with my 15yo... Oh boy..
