Default Battery Question for a January day

On our 2001 3000 SCR the way my isolaters are wired up to my two batteries I have them set on both for everything to work. Lights on and to start the engines. Do the isolaters need to be wired up differently?

Is this the norm on a 3000 SCR? Ok all you 3000 owners what do you have?

Last fall while looking at my battery charger I found out it is a three bank charger ( the middle bank is not hooked up) so I want to add a third battery this spring. Plus I think my original batteries (two of them) need to be replaced this coming season. They are 5 years old.

I would like to get the frig and all the 12 volts stuff on a seperate battery ( deep cycle) then have two starting batteries for the engines.

Where in the wiring system can I seperate this to get the frig and 12 volts on its own dedicated battery?

Anyone ever done this?

Roger
