Default Average Prices 3000/3200/3300

As I continue to browse Maxums I'm finding some level of consistency in the trim of 1997+ models showing updated cabinetry, counter tops, and helm.

Where I'm struggling a bit is figuring out what price range these boats are or should be.

occasionally I see one in the $70k+ range.
lately I've been seeing a LOT on the east coast down to FL for about $45k.
I looked at a 3000 last weekend that was $27k.

Now, that boat at $27k sold in a matter of hours.
The interior was perfect and the motor only had 4 hours on the block. However the exterior was greatly oxidized and it may have been at a $10-13k discount vs a vessel that looked better on the outside.

What kind of price range do you see for the 30-33ft Maxums? I've decided to make a couple financial adjustments at home so that I can stretch my budget out on the boat more comfortably. I think I'll be happier in the long run spending another $10-20k upfront on a nicer boat than buying one that I know needs a lot of TLC right out of the gate.

boats in the ‘97 to mid 2000’s May have quite a swing in asking prices depending on condition. Many have been repowered and other neglected. It will depend on each individual boat. I suggest using nada or bucnet if you find a particular year/model to get a baseline of what the guides say and go from there.

For a early 2000 3000 SCR I’d expect to see pricing anywhere from 26k to 50k.
At least that’s what I found when evaluating what an agreed value would be for insurance.

The next issue I have is the prices seem to be painfully regionally and up here in Seattle they are typically much higher. I think I could just about pull the trigger today on a early 2000s 3000 for $50k and it would likely be our ideal trim/layout. But only finding those on the east coast would likely add at least $10k in shipping expenses I think...

It's good to see your thoughts on the price are about the same as what I'm seeing though. I think that one I found at $27k is worth every penny and with about $13k invested would probably sell for $50k.

When thinking about repower it mine, I felt that a solid price point would be in the high 30’s- low 40’s which made it reasonable to move ahead with the repower. Given the options on the market, I feel the 3000 is still a great bang for the buck as long as the price point was in this range. I think 50k would be a bit generous, but I’m in a different region.

I agree with that, sounds like we have similar ideas of what the right price is for these boats based upon condition. Although I think if I had to repower twins the only way I'd stay under $50k out the door would be a purchase price of about $28-30k

this 3000 I just looked at only has a 7.4l single on it which has me questioning life. Again, I'm pretty sure it's sold but if it happens to still be available Friday I'll request a sea trial and see if that motor can push it or not. $27k is probably a great price still if the one motor is enough.
