Default Alarms that don't stop ringin

I have a 2003 Maxum 2900 scr. I've had it a year and plagued by little problems I've almost finished working my through them. The biggest issue is the dam alarm it won't stop. Boat temp, oil etc all ok. It goes on and off sometimes when cruising off and on and other times at idle it rings for a while then stops sometimes like today it was good all day until the last hour and rang non stop on idle. I have twin 190 mercruiser 4.3 tks. I've had mechanic out for a diagnose we can't seem to find issue I'm at point of cutting the alarm any suggestions to track fault. Iam not sure what systems the alarm will sound for. Cheers any help would be much appreciated for my ears and enjoyment

The alarm uses sensor switches that are independant from the helm gauge sendors. Try disconnection one of the switch sendors at a time until you find which one is at fault. From what you have described it is most likely either a gear lube or oil pressure switch. Is the gear lube at the full level in both reservoirs? Even if it is sometime the floats that activate the switch can stick in them.

Find the tan/gray wire and disconnect it at each of these them operate the boat for a period of time until either the alarms sounds which will tell you it's not the disconnected one at fault or if the alarm no longer sounds you found the culprit.
