Welcome aboard JoeMcl1!!

I beleive that Marine Air systems was the brand installed by Maxum. I think they installed the 6K BTU 'Cabin Mate' model and in the 2700 I believe it is installed behind the fridge.

Hey JoeMcl1,

On my 1994 2700 SCR, its located under the forward bed. but unfortunately I don't know the BTU off hand. Next time I go to my boat yard I'll snap a picture of the specs for ya.
I'm sure the 1998 model has things moved around a bit though.

i would go look for a uses system, from a boat junk yard, as the new systems will run over $2,000.00

It will be under the V-birth, and you need to drill some holes in the boat, and a water pump and 110v electric.

So, the reality is, I have a/c on my 2800 scr and use the A/C two times to just pull out the humid.

So how offend do you need it?

If your inside the cabin, your not boating correctly.....
