Default 3100se table

So a guest sat on the edge of the cabin table and the table gave way pulling all the mount screws out of the bottom of the table. Can I use a product like Marine Tec epoxy and fill the holes then drill new pilot holes in the epoxy for the screws. Will that be as strong/ weak as the original?

That may work. Another method is to drill the holes out to just under the size of the closest dowel. Then glue and drive the dowel in and cut flush. Once the glue has dried drill pilot hole for the screws and assemble the table.

Same idea, but offset the mounting plate (if possible) , so the new holes are just beside the old filled holes. This will work if the mount plate is round.
