Default 2008 Maxum 2000sr3 Nav lights

Hi,

Can anyone send me a photo of the back of a 8 pole toggle switch on their boat.

No lights are working. Previous owner replaced switch with a Carling DPDT.

Installed new bulbs, checked fuses, checked switch and still no lights.

Followed the wiring diagram in manual, no joy!

Any assistance would be great!

Thanks,

Brenda

Welcome aboard

How did you check the things you mentioned? A volt meter is in order to verify that the correct voltage exists. I would start at the fuse for the lights then the switch in both the off and on positions. Also you need you verify the grounds for the lights are good.

So both the forward nav and stern white are not functioning?

do you have power at the switch? if so do you have power coming out of the switch when on? if so then is there power at the bulb socket?
for ground you can get a scrap piece of long wire and temp run it from battery ground to the bulb socket and see if it then works.
its an elimination game.
hope this helps.

Start with a volt-meter and make sure you're getting voltage to the switch. did you pull the light and check the connections there? That is the next place I'd be using a volt-meter.

Thank you. Will be out there soon with the volt meter. Took apart the nav lightbulb, all connections secure.
