2006 2600 se

Hi Everyone
Just bought a 2006 Maxum 2600 SE yesterday. So far love the boat. Can't wait till next spring to check it out on the water. The boat is in great shape except for a rip in the seam of the long lounge seat on the port side across from the helm. I have someone who can repair the seat but I have to bring the seat to him. I have tried everything to get the seat out, nothing doing. Thought it might unscrew from the bottom. But I don't see any access to the seat from the rear birth, other than tearing the ceiling out of the rear birth, which I sure don't want to do. Any suggestion?

Post up a picture if you can. I'm curious how the '06 is configured in regards to the seat back (mine flips for forward or aft seating).

The ceiling is usually screwed in. You probably have to remove the ceiling. Check the corners and you'll probably find the mounting screws.

Checked the corners couldn't find any screw connections. Asked the maintenance guy at the maintenance shop where I have the boat to look at it he couldn't find any screw connections either. Seems the ceiling edges are over lapped by the walls so the screws must be behind the walls. He came to the conclusion that the seat is glued down. Long story short (I know too late) I pried the seat off the base, no damage to the seat or backing. Seems it was both glued and screwed. 3 screws in the centerline of the seat.

Was it screwed up from the bottom, or down from the top?
