Default boat

the 2400scr is basically a 2455 by bayliner...nice boat....how will you use the boat??...lake ???ocean??....river??....it really depends on your usage how I can answer it...the boat for a weekend pocket cruiser is nice...all the amenities and such....but in rough water it will beat you up...make sure it has a good sized engine..the 305cu/in..engine....the 305 is rather weak imho......but the 350 is much better....more torque.....good luck and let us know what you do!!...and welcome to the zoo....

It's a 5 liter 220 hp, don't know the cubes. It's a Bayliner?
It would be used on the intracoastal waterway.
Thanks

I had the 2455 with the 5.0lter...basically a 305....220hp engine...the torque is rather lacking ..it used to struggle getting on plane.....even in alot of current at just above stall speeds on plane it would fall off really easy...
but with the right prop it should be good at getting on plane....
if you can ...find a 5.7ltr engine....much more torque and better planing times.....some guys have used a stainless steel 4 bladed prop that worked well with the 5.0ltr...but if you hit something..the drive takes the shock.......

let us know how it goes....
