Default 2001 Maxum 2300 SR

As many of you did I had questions myself about this boat and have come to find out that there isn't a whole lot of information out there to help us. I picked up this boat last year and have had some fun with it and will continue to work on it this year. I don't know if there is any interest in this but last year had to pull the motor out to change the rear main seal, oil pan, outdrive was shot due to a cracked case water got in and boom, hunted down an oem original 01 matching numbers to the year block alpha 1 gen 2 outdrive with the bell housing for a steal ! (350$) after that changing out all the bellows myself had fun with the boat now this year I just had a swim platform made and am going to be installing in next week or so, gauges were all shot out so have new ones due to size difference will be ripping out entire dash going to hit the upholstery and make a new face for all the gauges and change them all over to new - along with ripping out some more seats to redo I am going to make the custom snap on carpet and want to know if anyone would like to see any photos and since i haven't been able to really find much info out about the 2300 SR was wondering if this could maybe help anyone else?
might as well create a wiring diagram unless someone happens to have one other then what Merc generally offererd for that year. thanks !

Sounds like you have done a lot of restoration and should have a good boat now. I don’t know of any wiring diagrams other than what is in the Mercruiser manual or the Maxum manual if you found on for your model. Pictures are always nice but I don’t think that you post any until you exceed ten post as a new member.

Default Thanks

Thank you for the information. I know that there’s not other than what Merc cruiser offers which is why at least for this one I was going to map out a diagram if it may be able to help someone else with a similar, if not the same boat. - overall I’m just finding out that there are some things to come across as boat owners that believe it or not the Internet does not go over in great detail and leave sometimes people with more questions and answers - so while I’m enjoying my project if it caught the interest of other people, I would gladly share any progress and information that I have
