Default 1999 4100 a/c

Hello everyone, Got my 1999 4100 scb home to NJ from Lake Champlain this weekend, and had trouble with the stateroom A/C. Sounds as if compressor pulls in, but fan doesn't start and coil freezes. It's 16 years old, just wondering if anyone has had one serviced/fixed, or just outright replaced, and if so which unit did you use and how was the installation. Thanks everyone, love this forum

Mine froze last week and shut down. Cleaning the filter took care of it. Worth having a look.

Filter looked OK but I didn't look at coil, I just got her so , so it's a learning curve. Thank you for your response. AW

If the fan didnt start, that might be an easy fix.

I haven't worked on these units besides adding freon, but they are pretty straightforward. They are identical to the unit on your house in principle.

Thank you for the reply. I contacted a company that used to make the driver boards for them and I need to take a picture of existing and send it to them to see if it can be serviced. Someone posted that driver board is expensive to repair, with a 16 year old unit, replacement may be the better path, we shall see. Thank you again.
