Default 1998 3000 SCR Generator

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can find a generator switch for my yacht? Also, I need to replace the switches on the dash…all of the rubbers on the switches melted. Thanks.

Are asking about the Isolation switch that goes between the generator and shore power? Or are you asking about a remote start switch for the generator?

The dash switches are Carling Rocker switches and can be found at West Marine, Defender.com, Great Lakes Skipper, or other chandleries.

Hello,

I am referring to the switch that is on the electrical panel. Not sure the technical terminology.... I'll take a picture of it and send it later today.

On switch toggles between shore power and the generator to determine the source of the 1120VAC power. One switch is a remote Start/Stop switch to turn the generator on and off.

Both will be on the electrical panel.

That’s the one I need…the remote switch. Can I order this online?

It would be helpful to know the make and model of your generator. Typically it is just a [Momentary On; On; Off; switch]

Kohler makes a specific remote start switch

OR, just do a search on a Weterbeke 4.5 BCG remote start panel/kit Note that the Diesel will have a 'Pre-heat' switch and 'pre-heat light' on it. That will work just fine, but have a useless switch on it that you don't need with a gas.
