Default 1997 3000SCR Water in Mid Bilge from AC unit?

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows if Maxum installed the draintube from the AC unit in the front berth to drain in the mid bilge? I have water in my mid bilge and I am thinking that is where it is coming from. I purchased a mermain condensator to fix this issue, but won't be able to install it for a couple of weeks. Anyone else having this issue?

Thank you,

I have the same issue. I need to do something about it. Not only does the drain pan drain into the bilge, but the pan also sweats. I need to insulate the pan and add something like the mermaid condenser or a sump.

I just received the mermaid condensator today. I will post and let you know how it works when I install it. It takes care of the pan sweating as well. It will keep it dry, by sucking out all of the water.

That's where they drain. Be sure to keep the fwd bilge pump in good working order.

Maybe a stupid question but why don't they just drain to the outside of the boat?

In my boat, the AC pan is just at about sea level.
