Default 1996 2100SC cabin door help

Purchased a 1996 Maxum 2100 SC in the fall knowing it needed some tlc. The problem I have is that the cabin doors don't lock shut. I'm sure I am missing something on the boat but I can't find any photos on the net of what the door assembly should look like. I was hoping someone on here could send me photos of their doors and closing latches. Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome aboard.
Pictures of your door and lock would help others help you.
We would only know what your door and lock looks like if we had experience with that model boat.

Take a look at Defender and West Marine. Perko makes a huge line of hatch locks. A simple latch with a padlock will work.

My feeling is, there isn't really anything of value in the cabin, and I have insurance.

Lock = BREAK in

No Lock = Tresspass

I've kept my boat is not awesome neighborhoods, have never locked my boat and have never had an issue.

My key sat in the ignition of my 2800 for 9 or 10 years never being removed.
