1993 maxum 1800 sr 115 hp hard to tow a tube

I have a 1993 maxum 1800 sr with a 3.0 115 hp
I can only get 26 mph at 4000 rpm
when I go into a turn with a tube on it slows down so much I can barely whip the tube.
I am wondering what top speed you guys are getting at what rpm
and what prop you are using.

Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the Forum.
Any marina can get you the right prop but you need the outdrive ratio and the HP.
