Default 1992 1700 XR trailer or total weight

I'm looking at buying a 1992 Maxum 1700 XR with a 70 Force Engine. I found some specs that list the boat and motor at about 1700 but i still need the weight of the trailer to make sure my car will pull it. Can anyone help me out with the weight of the trailer. Looks like its the original trailer that came with the boat. Thanks Nick

Welcome aboard

Look up a new trailer of the same size and use it’s weight as a ballpark number.

Default 1700 XR with trailer

I have a 1700 xr , 70 hp ob and trailer, and use a 2014 Ford Edge limited with 3.5 to pull it. Edge is rated at 3500 lbs towing and has no issue at all with any hills I have seen. But I live in flat IL.

If you are interested in purchasing lmk. Spurginphoto@gmail.com

Default 1700 xr with trailer

Thanks a lot for the reply. I did purchase the 1700 xr and im happy with it. I use a 2015 Honda Odyssey with a 3500 lb towing limit and it seems to be pulling it just fine. Good to know you have been pulling yours with the same 3500 towing limit and have had no issues. That makes me feel more comfortable towing it with my Odyssey... Thanks
