Default 1750 SR Steering play

Hi All - just acquired a 2004 1750SR here in the UK - in excellent condition but just need some reference point for the amount of play in the steering which is 2 -3 inches rotation but only in the straight ahead position. I know to expect some bow wander at low speeds but I'm trying to gauge whether what I'm experiencing is normal or is capable of being adjusted out or at least reduced, as holding a straight path on the Thames is tricky and certainly not relaxing on a very busy river!

sounds normal to me.....

That hull is fairly prone to wandering around when at idle speeds.

I'd not worry about it as its a great little boat in all other areas
