We boat on Lake Erie. The Ancher locker is to the port side of the bow. As I ubnderstand the installation, the windlass should be in to the front of where the line goes into the locker. With the door to the port side, how do where do you install the windlass so that happens?
We have been boating for many years in the Lake Erie area of Cleveland, but don't hold that against me. None of the other boats I owned had this problem. Please advise.

It is a 1998 3200scr. I don't see where to install the windlass because the anchor locker is located to the port side of the bow. It can not be installed directly behind the anchor and feed into the locker.
Can it?

I apologize as I am not familiar with the 3200. Our 3700's hatch to the anchor locker is on the starboard side but the anchor locker is the full width of the bow. The windlass is mount in the center of the deck and the chain falls into the locker.
