Default Shattered Window Glass

I had an accident a while back on my 41 SCA. Shattered the Port side rear-window. It's the tear-shaped one over the TV cabinet. Does anyone know if there is a total replacement for it....frame and glass? Near impossible to find a boat yard to even offer a estimate to repair. Glass supplies/companies won't work on it.

Being a flat piece of glass a local auto glass shop may be able to cut it out of a stock piece.

Not a problem getting the tempered glass. But taking the whole thing apart, doing a template and reinstalling it, seems to be a MAJOR project. I had a Big boat yard (Saunders in Gulf Shores) say they would consider working on it, but others have not replied or refused to do so. I though is Maxum had a 1-piece replacement it might make things a lot easier to swap out. For some reason, it perceived to be MUCH more involved.

Also, a friend who had a SCB years ago, recently told me that these were 1-piece items....but where can we get one.
Thanks

Brunswick closed the Maxum line around 2008/2009 so I doubt you’ll find any OEM stock.

Maybe a custom glass shop will do the whole replacement? I doubt a auto shop would since they just buy pre-made windshields.

Custom glass shop may do it.

If you have insurance let them figure it out for you. That's what you pay them for.

If not you are going to have to figure who made the glass window for maxum and contact them. Taylor Made did a variety of different items for maxum.

Good luck

There were a few Maxum boats in salvage yards; have you tried looking there for this window? Also, MarineMax has some expertise removing and repairing windows.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have Saunders Boat Yard Gulf Breeze, AL) working on it and waiting for the window to come in from the glass co.
Thanks
