Red face Calling all 3200SCR and 3300SCR owners...

I have a 94 3200SCR with an ice maker. Apparently after my model year, maxum outsourced different flange for the
maker to sit level in the cabinet. I have a new ice maker and am looking for the mounting flange that is riveted to the ice maker. Does anybody have any idea where/who i could get one from. Someplace that has old u-line ice makers, or someone I could buy theirs and send them my stock flange??? I know that I will probably be forced to make my own, but thought I would try the community first.......jesse

Hi Jessie. Scott here in VAncouver, BC. I am a new 1994 3200 SCR owner and wanted to introduce myself. Although I have no answer to your question I do note that my ice maker appears to need replacing as it shows excessive rusting. Not even sure it works yet as I have been focuing on my engines thus far. Any luck with your solution? Also, Do you have a source for the complete owners packet of manuals? I did not get these with mine. Hopefully we can be of assistance to one another moving forward. Hope you are enjoying your 3200 !
Cheers,
Scott

RumDum, there are many parts available for your uline ice maker, but if its too far gone you may need a new one. I have decided that I will have to build my own frame to make the ice maker sit level in the boat. It should not be that hard to do, just been using the boat to much to take the ice maker out and do this. I dont have a full set of manuals, I know there were some links/info here on getting manuals. I have found that manuals for a specific system of the boat, fresh water/fridge/ice maker/air cond. can be found online with some digging. I have also found that no two boats are built the exact same. Just lots of similar/basic systems.

Puppy, I do post pics......)

There is another person that has all the manuals on the first page. If you can't find it I can email it to you. I got mine from the maxum dealership before they closed up. In regards to the ice maker... Do you guys use it? I was thinking maybe I can replace it with a fridge? Or something...? We live in A suburb of Chicago but keep our boat in st Joseph Michigan. It just is so peaceful versus looking at skyscraper buildings on my weekends. I'm an hour 15 away from my marina and with traffic I'd be about that going downtown.

I just recently purchased a 2001 Maxum 3300 SCR and stumbled upon this thread as I am experiencing the same problem with my ice-maker. Has anyone found a good way to level the ice maker?

My ice maker was reportedly replaced in 2010 as part of the previous owner's survey/purchase. He stated it never worked. Upon investigation, I have found it tried to make ice but winds up spilling a ton of water all over itself because it is tilted backwards a little bit, and then it freezes itself.

I am wondering if anyone has tried just leveling the ice maker tray/motor/assembly inside of the u-line ice maker? It seems the cabinet being level is irrelevant to the tray being level...

That aside, any pictures of a properly mounted/working ice maker (original or modified) would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh
Seattle Area, WA

I will be posting some more with a couple questions regarding the following soon, but the ice maker is more important as it is not functioning whereas the others are add-ons:
-installing tank monitors for waste and water level
-wiring an inverter (inline from ac input to panel) vs. a subpanel, location of ac wiring + inverter, etc.

Josh, I ended up pulling my ice maker out and building/replacing the pop riveted flange around the ice maker itself. Just need to make the new flange wide enough to angle the ice maker to make it level in the boats cabinet. Hard to explain. If at all possible look a maxum with the correct flange and it will make sense. My ice maker now works great!! No other modifications needed, just level the whole unit in opening. I may be pulling my buddies ice maker out of his new to him 3200 to check for power. I will get some pics of the flange.

I have a 95 3200, but when I bought it, the icemaker wasn't working, and its still on my todo list. Its hard to part with nearly $1000 just to get ice that I buy for $1.50 for a 10lb bag.
