Default 4600 SCB props with Cummins 370s

I have a new to me 4600SCB with Cummins 370s out of the water getting a bottom paint job and was considering getting some prop work done. What size and pitch are you running? According to my survey I have 4 blade 24" x 26" props. My problem is that I only get from 9 mph at 1800 rpm and maybe 10 mph at 2200 rpm. I have not run it hard to 3000 rpms because I think it is propped wrong and it seems to push back once I get it to 2600 rpms. (Physically hard to push throttle past that point) Any help and thoughts would be appreciated.

Your props seem way too big. I think my 4600 has 24x22 with the Cummins 450's. I run about 18-19 knots at 2200 rpm and top out at 2600 rpm
