Default 4100 sca raw water pump access and pumping water

2 questions

1st im pretty sure in need to do an impeller on the port side . my question is, since we have bottom and side exhaust outlets for our cummins engines, does water pump out the side outlet? My starboard side does but my port side doesnt . pretty sure that it should no?

2nd has anyone done an impeller port side ? Seems like a bitch to get to . any tips?

Yes, raw water for cooling should ship out with the exhaust. If you're not getting water out, then either it is discharging inside the boat, or your impellor is fried.

If the raw water pump is difficult to get to, then I would remove the pump and service in on a bench. I strongly advise getting an impellor puller. The bronze pump housing is very easy to gouge with a screwdriver.
