Default Which battery is which on a 2800 SCR

Hello,

On my 2000 2800 SCR which battery is the starting battery and which one is the house battery?

And, which position to you recommend the battery switch to be in while plugged into shore power?

Thank you,

Jim

P.S. In the Northwest the boating season is close.

Are the batteries on Leg 1 and Leg 2 the same size?

Will the engine start on either 1 or 2?

Batt 2 is typically set up as house battery but both should be able to be used as a starting battery.

While on shore power and away I would turn the battery switch off. The battery charger should be wired directly to the batteries. If your at the boat then you'll need the house battery turned on as the shore power only provides power to 110VAC things.
