Default Transom Leaking

If you have a 2001 Maxum 2345 NV you may want to check the transom for leakage. Our 2001 Maxum recently had excessive water in the bilge repairing major repairs. This appears to originate from the original factory construction.

I would like to contact Maxum Customer Service and forward pictures however find no email address for Customer Service.

We have available pictures if you wish to see them.

We have received a response from Maxum Customer Service regarding the transom problem as noted above. We had requested a forwarding contact to submit the details of the repair and the pictures for their information.

Boathelp@usmboats.com responded the boat is out of the 5 year warranty period and they decline involvement.

when you say water in the bilge..is it laying on the bottom under the engine??...or is it actually in the wood of the transom???

Water was above the stringers and on the engine block, starter has been replaced as was the battery. The transom wood had water penetration and had to be removed. The transom was rebuilt. I will try to send pictures.
