Default Shower/sink pump not working

Hi,

I have a 1997 23sc bought recently. I may have blown a fuse and would like to know also where the pump is located. Is there anything I need to do to activate/start pump?

Thanks,

Fred

welcome to the zoo fred....first off..the potable water pump is in the engine bay...should be either near or on top of the potable water tank...so..that's where you'd check the pump out..there is a way to turn the pump manually ..once you have turned the pump manually...it might work then...if not check the DC breaker panel at the helm..there should be a pop out breaker marked fwpump...or something similar....

also check the switch in the salon ..should be in the galley.....make sure your getting pwr there....

The switch in the galley is up for on, down for off, I made this mistake last year when I had no water coming out.

Wrong way for UK switches, right way for a US boat.

We had an issue last weekend where our water pump was running, but we never keep water in the boat. We found there is a small switch near our kitchen area that turns the pump on and off, and someone accidentally hit it and turned it on. Not sure about your smaller boat, but after messing around for almost an hour at 2pm in the morning after having a few beverages trying to figure out how to turn the darn thing off (we eventually cut the wire and learned about the switch the next morning), it was definately something we won't ever forget!
