Default Question on Shore Power

Just put my 2400SCR into the water tonight. First time ever having a boat that has shore power. I connected the cable to the docks and the shore adapter. But the light at the shore power panel that says "power available" did not come on. Thought there was an issue, checked the plugs to make sure both connections were good. No light. I was just putting it in, so didn't have any tools or anything with me. But I did have a rechargeable cleaning tool that had a charger with a light on it. When I plugged it into the 110 sockets, and turned on the breaker for the receptacles, I had power. So I am getting power. Is it possible the light just burned out on the panel? Doesn't seem like a typical light bulb type thing, so not sure if that is possible. I should have listened to my 12 year old when he said "dad, maybe the light is bad" lol. Has this happened to anyone? Any way to fix without replacing the whole panel?

Thanks!!!

It’s possible the bulb went bad. Did the meter show ~120V for the line you had selected?

There should be a voltmeter on the panel as well, is it showing power? Yes it sounds like the bulb is burned out.

I don't have a meter on my panel. Just a light. There is two little lights, one for power available and the other showing reversed connection. I was able to get down this morning check my outlets with my multimeter and it was showing 120v. So I'm gonna say bad bulb. Will have to pull the panel and check out what it is and replace.

Interesting my 1997 2400 SCR has a voltmeter on the panel and a switch fr it to read either line 1 or line 2.
