Just to update, I did get the boat. I sold the Explorer with 4.6liter and got a 2001 Excursion V10 instead. Pulls the boat with no problem. I did find a few parts/pieces that need replaced. Any good places online to buy parts?

You were dead on Dan. With my wife and 3 small kids I hit 45mph WOT with about 3/4 tank of gas. I am very pleased about how she handled and performed. The lake was pretty rough and 20mph winds but 85degrees in early April is hard to pass up.

She looks sweet, Joe, very clean!! Your boat has the same hull from the rub rail down as my 2004 2400 SC3. They do ride decently but if yours doesn't not have trim tabs on it you may want to consider adding them. Made a world of difference on my 2400.

Pictures, man, we need pictures!!

So does anyone know where I might find the curtains that zipper to the bimini top to enclose the sides and back? I would like to see if I can find some to be able to use them and take my boys on an overnight trip...

Nice, and looks like one of your kids' is having fun crawling around in it.

Try Leta's Top Shop for the canvases/enclosures Joe. Seapuppy recommended Leta's some time ago and I, as well as others here, have been pleased with their service and pricing. They have most, if not all, of the original patterns for the Maxum line.

Speaking from experience, don't use email as a means of first contact. For whatever reason they are not at all keen on email but are great on the phone.

Regards,

Dan
