Default horn removal?

New to the site so thank you all in advance.
I needto remove the horn in my newly acquired 2003 2400 sc for check/replacement. There are no screws on the out side of grill cover though it does have a little play i did not want to start paying on it. The horn is visible through the speaker hole inside the forward cabin at the bow but not within easy reach. Any tips on removing the horn?

Thank you again

You should be able to access through the anchor locker.

Mine is on the starboard side at the very front of the bow just above the rubrail. Looks like a speaker.

On my 2400 SCR it’s on the port side of the bow. Looks similar to the one the OP posted a picture of.

Hi Grandrew,

I've got exactly the same issue on my 2400 SC3.....although mines not as close to the anchor locker etc.

Did you manage to find a way to get to the horn ?

Yes.
I found an older thread on this site that mentioned "popped the cover off" so I gently pulled the horn cover off. There are mounting screws under the cover. Then you can pull horn out thru the hole and disconnect the wires.
Was a breeze once I got the cover off.
Happy boating
