Default Existing power cables for Windless System

I just picked up a v700 windless system for my 00 2400SCR. I have read that some of these boats came pre-wired for the windless systems (fingers crossed!!). Curious what I should be looking for...wire colors and such. I'm sure I need to look in the little hatch area above the seats in the mid-berth in the anchor locker. But what specifically am I looking for in there? Kinda tight and I can barely get my big head in to look so knowing what I am looking for would be helpful lol. Are they loose, big bundle of wire.... I also read there should be some wiring in the engine compartment. Anyone know what side it might be on? My batteries are on the Port side behind my fresh water tank, so I am guessing they will be over there somewhere. Any direction would be hugely helpful.

Thanks!!!!!
Dave

Neither does my 1997 2400. This is something I want to do one day. Where did you run the wires through the cabin?

I ran it through all the seating areas. From the anchor locker, I drilled a hole towards the front and near the edge of the opening on the STBD side. That runs down in to the the middle section in the seats that lifts up. Ran the cable down that back panel and drilled in the the top down in to the storage area for the bottom seat. There is actually a large square hole down into the stb side seat storage area. From there I drilled a hole in the back bottom corner going towards the head area. Pulled the fridge out and when you run a snake from that hole it comes out along the back near the thru hulls. There's a large opening on top from there that gets you into the access panel in the cuddy cabin. From there you can run up to the console area and drill a hole into the engine compartment. It actually wasn't too bad to do, but of course it was hot and muggy. Plus I was an idiot and the holes I initially drilled were too small for the wire I was running, so had to pull the snake out and drill em again. I ended up drilling 1" holes with a small hole saw as I am using 8 gauge wire and it's one wire with both pos and neg encased together. I still need to finish wiring and button everything up. I'll snap you some pics when I get down there today. Only thing I won't be able to get is behind the fridge as I already secured it back in.

Finally got some pics for ya. Let me know if you have any questions on anything. Currently mounting up the distribution box and the circuit breaker and finishing up switch wiring . I'll snap a few pics of those for you as well.

Sure thing. Plan on about another 4-$500 of additional stuff for this project. Between the new anchor rode and all the electrical wire and connections. I'm also had to get a different circuit breaker than the one included. The one it comes with has wire connection in the back but I have no where to put it that it fits without making a huge hole. So I bought a new one with wore connections on the front so I can bolt it up right where the battery switch is. Of course...another $70 lol.
