Default Eisenglass for 2004 2400SE

Hello everyone, quick question, while my boat came with both Bimini tops I don't have any Eisenglass, is there a manufacturer that still has the templates for my boat and does anyone have an idea of how costly these are. I would not need the rear one, I am really only concerned with the front and side Eisenglass, thanks in advance for your replies and have a great summer, or what's remaining of it....

There are a couple of options......1: local canvas shop. 2 Leta's Top shop. She has all the templates from Maxum

Since maxum is no longer you can't get them from their warehouse anymore.

Thanks biggerseagar, are the templates private or can I give them to a local guy here?

If Leta owns the templates not sure she will be willing to sell them to another canvas shop, why give away business?

People who own the templates would be marine canvas businesses. I doubt they would want to give them to a competitor to let them do the job for them. You can either buy from someone who has the templates, or have a local guy come out and measure and make custom ones. The latter is by far the most common option. It's easier to get them customized the way you want if they can measure onsite.

Thanks for the help everyone, I did get in touch with Leta, sounds like that is the best option, has anyone used her before and had her send them the eisenglass? I am on the West Coast so obviously she will be sending me the glass.

My recommendation is get a quote from a local shop also. You cannot guarantee that your biminis haven't shrunk over time. My wife has had a boat upholstery business for over 30 years. We pulled mine to put new zippers and eisenglass in the windshield and zippers on the sides. I had to relocate the snaps and twist locks, which is no big deal. She also built lightweight canvas covers to go over the eisenglass and upholstery to protect from the Fl sun when it's on my lift. I know it sounds crazy but I use the glass more in the summer than the winter due to the rain. Everyone's first question is why does upholstery go bad? Would you leave your Corvette convertible in the driveway with the top down five years?
