Dead Pump or Something Easier?
Just got back on the lake after winter and trying to get all systems up and running. Fresh water pump is not operating at all. Didn't have a voltage tester but will have one next weekend. Checked the helm circuit breakers (?) and since these are not something I've dealt with before, didn't find anything unusual with the one associated with the pump. Any similar experiences or suggestions? It may just be time to replace, but it worked fine when we put her away for winter.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Did the fresh water switch glow red when you turned it on? This is a sign of power at the switch.
Did you hear any noise like the pumps motor ran when first turned on?
Water tank was filled?

Switch. Red light for pump switch was not on when we purchsed the boat in July, but pump ran fine. I am going to West Marine tomorrow to find a replacement. No sound at all out of the pump this past weekend. Am hoping it is the switch. Will have a tester with me this weekend also, which will help.
Yes, tank was topped off
Thanks,
Mike

Did you check the fuse? Before replacing the pump use a volt meter and verify power is getting to the old one.

_(JO*FGHJJK((^ Mystery of the pump solved! Way back in the recesses of the archives, someome mentioned the circuit breaker switch...when you THINK you have reset it...you haven't..it needs extra prodding...like with a small Phillips...who'da thunk?!
Anyway, thanks for the ideas and support. A word to the new or relatively new) members (like me). There is a WEALTH of great boat and Maxum knowlege available from the seasoned members of this website. Cupple that with their generosity, and it is one great group to be a part of.

Glad to hear you resolved it. Can you post a picture of the breaker for reference to all members.

That was me that said that. I discovered it while trying to figure out my macerator pump. Glad it helped!
