Plug something like a phone charger into it to see if it's getting power. Look for a fuse or maybe a lose wire behind the dash.

I would not think there would be a designated switch for a cig lighter. It should get power when you turn on your battery switch.

You have a 12V power port on the dash or in the cabin? If they are getting power then the lighter should as well.

I have a 95 2400 scr and my lighter has a designated switch on the dash.
Good luck

I would be very careful here. According to the user manual in the DC Wiring section, that circuit is 16ga wire. That wire can only carry a MAX of 13A. If you are blowing a 10A fuse but not the 15A, you are most likely drawing more than 10A but less than 15A (not a short though). I would look at what you have connected to that circuit as maybe someone wired something into it and you don't realize it? At the end of the day though, if you start pulling more than 13A through it, it will not blow the fuse but will cause the wire to get hot and possibly melt. This can cause a fire if not caught in time.

I agree, I would want to understand what is causing it to continue to blow the fuse .... Or take it as an opportunity to quit smoking

yeah , i should know better than that,,,, i need to trace that wire and see what is causing that fuse to blow
instead of putting in a bigger fuse and end up melting wires,,,,i just wasnt sure if jumping from the 10 amp to the 15amp
fuse was an unsafe move with that 5amp difference,,,but either way thats the proper way to fix it,,,

thanks guys
