Default Change light bulbs - Maxum 2400

Hi, I have a Maxum SCR 2400. Unfortunately, the bulb of my position lamp in front ist blown. And I don't know how to change it out. Does anyone have any idea how you can open the case?

Moby, I'll take a look at mine today when I am at the marina. I believe you need to remove he light fixture by removing the 2 screws that attach it to the boat and then the bulb can be accessed from the bottom of the fixture. You may need to disassemble the fixture (2 more screws) once unscrewed from the boat.

PS: don't cut the 2 wires unless you plan to replace the fixture.

Hello, that's true, there are two screws that you can open. But when you open the screws you can not open always still the lamp. I thought it is enough if you can simply remove the lid anyway.

Can you post a picture of what you are looking at? It will help determine how to get at the bulb. Picture after screws are removed is perfered.

When you removed he screws were able to lift up the fixture? May be bedded in a sealant and require a little force. Once removed the metal housing should be able to be seperated from the rubber base and provide access to the bulb.

If you have solved the screws can not be the lamp still does not remove, even with force. I do not mean to tear off. By execution of the anchor chain, there is a plate provided with a plurality of screws. Maybe throw it away?

that happened to mine as well! someone at maxum when putting in the lamp got glue happy! i removed the bow light from the deck with the 2 screws and then turned the bow light over and removed the other 2 screws and took a screw driver and pried the plastic base from the metal top part. it takes some doing but it does come apart! good luck!

Thanks for the tip. For me there are only 2 screws in the rubber. The hood made of chrome I believe you can not lose weight. At least I do not know how.

Moby, what davevaill is saying is remove the 2 screws you see, pry fixture at rubber base away from fiberglass deck, turn fixture over and you will see 2 more screws, remove them and pry rubber base off to get access to bulb.

THE CHROME HOOD DOESN'T COME OFF.

Sorry but this is the same directions I gave to you earlier and don't seem to be able to convey it a way you can understand.

If this isn't clear enough then maybe it's time to hire a boat mechanic.
