Default Cabin Mate A/C help

Own a 2000 SCR2800 and new to this boat and cruisers. The A/C works great. According to the manual, the unit needs to have "reverse cycle" for heat. How can I tell if "reverse cycle" is installed? The manual doesn't specify. Thanks in advance for your help.

First welcome aboard.

OK where did buy this boat? Or better yet did you have it surveyed? Because any of these two should of showed you how the operating systems work.

Reverse cycle means heat pump. On your touch pad where you turn your unit on, it should have an icon for a/c on the top and for heat on the bottom. Hit the bottom icon and see what happen.

Most a/c units have heat. If this doesn't help you go back to where you bought your boat and ask them how all this works!

Good luck

Roger

As Roger said...They make units which are A/C only, and they makes units which do both. Take a look at your panel. If there is a heat setting, you have heat. No heat setting and you don't.

Mine doesn't have heat. I have two analogue dials (1997 vintage).

Dial #1: OFF - FAN - COLD.
Dial #2: Variable fan speed.
