Awesome. Thank you so much for confirming Mike! And good to know I can use the existing. I caught the Marina service manager on his way out yesterday and told him. I showed him the video. He's going to have his tech check it out on Monday. Probably going to need to pull the boat again.

Yes it should be pulled. Hopefully they can resolve it quickly.

Should be pulled sometime this week. They ordered an impeller kit to have just in case when they pull the drive. Wondering if I should order the manifolds and elbows and do that while it is out of the water. Or if I should leave it alone and let them work out the problem.

Update - they took the drive apart and the pickup tube had fallen off. They fixed and sea trialed her today. Said it's all set. We shall see Fingers crossed!!!!

I’m assuming they mean the tube that aligns the upper tube to the water pumps output.

Yep, that's the one. Took her out for my own test on Friday evening and all seems good. Runs right at 175 like she always did.

With the shop wanting to charge you big for the parts cannon approach, looks like you have to diagnose this yourself. You have to get the hose off coming from the drive to see if you have flow there, if not the problem is likely in the water pump or plumbing in the lower unit. If you have good flow at the transom the problem is elsewhere, but not the risers cause there is no flow getting to them. Then, find a new shop that doesn't just guess at problems and make assumptions.

Thanks Todd. Yep, that's exactly what I ended up doing. Low flow was the result. Ended up being them screwing up installing the drive halves to together and the upper tube that connects to the impeller was either not installed or installed incorrectly. It has been fixed and boat runs great. Now I have a nice set of manifolds and elbows in my basement to do in the Fall.
