Default 2000 Maxum SCR2400 5.7 Liter Idle issues

Hello,

in the last week my boat has had a hard time at idle. For some reason after initial warmup when put back in neutral it will stall. Or when trying to dock at the end of day after a 20 minute cruise at 20 knots it will stall when put back into neutral.

any tips would be appreciated.

So it only stalls when shifting into neutral; correct? If so and you have an Alpha drive the shift interrupt switch is staying closed too long most likely due to a worn lower shift cable.

Maybe but only if your engine is fuel injected. No IAC on a carburetor.
