Default Prop Question

Hey guys long time lurker I have a 2006 1800 SR3 3.0 and I finally bit the bullet and purchased a stainless Prop but i bought it from Ebay. It arrived and looked good until i looked in the inside of it. It looks like it is missing some metal or something is eating away at it I am not sure. Any advice would be good. I could send it back but would have to pay for shipping and wait for another one. The prop is brand new not a refurb it is a Mercury Mercruiser Vengeance Stainless Prop 14x19 I read someone on here liked the prop and had same boat as me. I am including pics. Thanks should i send it back or is this normal.Click image for larger version

If it was brand new ship it back. Ebay wants you happy!

Don't know what that dent or scratch is but bottom line...you are not happy...

Try again..... and by the way....welcome to the website

Looks like a manufacturing fault to me and painted over?? If you are concerned then definitely send it back and ask the seller nicely if they will pay for the return shipping costs. Especially as they are not light items.

You will also need these bits for the inside of the prop if it did not come with a flo-torq 2 kit if you don't already have this.

Uh....to my knowledge EBay doesn't actually sell anything. They are an online portal for the nameless, faceless masses to sell ther stuff. A 'Digital Yardsale' at best. I have no idea what that mark is on the inside of the thrust hub.

Ebay protects the buyer. My wife had a store for vintage items. Believe me when I say the cards are stacked on the sellers side to sell exactly what is advertised and if you are not you will be shut down.

So JW if you are not happy...... send it back but also fill out feedback for the seller and tell them how you were taken care of.

Roger
