Default New Owner 2006 1800 SR

Hi Folks, Thanks for adding me.

I'm the new owner of a nice 2006 1800 SR3. The boat came with smart tabs and I gotta say, from what I have heard about long plane times and porpoising, they work. This boat gets on plane quickly and rides smoothly with the trim all the way down.

This sure is a nice upgrade from my old 1970's era tri-hull with a 2-stroke. The only thing, in 20 years, I never had engine trouble with that old Johnson 85. No belts, no oil changes, nothing, nadda. Gonna baby this 4.3.

Welcome Aboard.

I guess you'll be boating somewhere in the Northern hills or mountains?

I have the same model and year. I use a Stingray hydrofoil as "poor mans tabs", and a 19" 4 blade. Gets out of the hole great now. Not a speedster, but an all around great boat. I'm sure you'll love it. Good luck!
