Default New Boat model question

Can anyone help me out? I just purchased a Maxum boat...1990 bow rider, 130hp, I/O. The word 'maxum' is barely visible. I'm not sure what the model number is. Is there any where on the boat i can find it. Looking in to get some items replaced on it.

Welcome aboard

Is there a capacity plate near the helm? It will have the model number on it.

My 1990 2755 SCR has the model and serial number molded into the transom.

There is no capacity plate on my 1990 model. Just had a courtesy Coast Guard inspection and they said capacity plates were not required back in 1990, but the boat ID and SN were.

The HIN (Hull Identification Number) does contain that information however you may need a look up table to decode it, I believe shrew has posted it before.

I tried looking every where on the boat the HIN is the only thing I can find. I tried looking up the HIN through MAXUM Customer Service Website but only goes back to 1993. Tried emailing them but it won't let me send it. Where can I find the table?

The maxum line was shut down by Brunswick in 2009 as no one there to reply.

Shrew has a good info to determine models so hopefully he can help.

Thanks, I sent him a message. I appreciate the help. I'm thinking it's a 1800 SR by pictures I could find on Google but I'm not sure.

Maxum Customer Care

Maxum Customer Care is still online. Goto the GENERAL section, then select the
"Hull Number Reference Guide". The HIN reference spans from 1993 - 2007. If all else fails you should be able to call them and give them the HIN and they should be
able to tell you the model.
