Default Capacity Plate
I have a 1991 2100 Maxum and need the Capacity Plate. I have tried to contact the Coast guard and even Maxum with no success. So please, if anyone with this kind of boat can post a picture of the capacity plate so I can make one would be appreciated.

You should be able to obtain this information from Maxum (U.S. Marine).

Using the Coast Guard formula the numbers come out to 9 persons or 1,470 lbs persons and gear.

I contacted my friend in our local shop and asked if he could find anything on your boat...this is the response from USMarine


"Here is what I was sent.

Anyway, the original capacity label (part #14495) has been no longer available for years. Unfortunately, we don't have any left to offer the customer.
At this point in time, the customer can contact the Coast Guard. In some cases, the Coast Guard will have a contractor who can certify the boat..."

I can understand that replacement plates are no longer available. However, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have the information so that one could be made.

Great job posting the picture so we could all see it.

Just so everyone knows these two boats are not the same, and the capacities will be somewhat different. A 1991 2100SR has a beam measurement of 7'4" and a 1996 is 8'3".

My calculation of 1470lbs. shows that they should be pretty close.
