Default 2001 2300 SR Bowrider Courtesy Lights

I am curious if anyone knows where the OE courtesy lights were located on this model. I have a switch for them on my dashboard, but I don't see any lights anywhere. I am hopeful to, at least, locate the original wiring so I can tap in with the LEDs I just purchased. Photos would be amazing, if you have them!

Courtesy lights are typically down low, like foot lights. Most commonly used were Perko.

Totally! I cannot find any on my boat-- either a previous owner cut them out and hit the location really well or there is a button, but it never had courtesy lights. I would find, frankly, both to be unlikely as I have yet to ever own a pre-owned boat where something was done properly or professionally...nor have I owned a boat that didn't have courtesy lights. Bizarre!

Pull the dash and see if there is anything wired to the switch. It would not surprise me that a 23 ft bow rider didn't have courtesy lights. It could have been an option when new or installed in a different model but they used the same dash.

I agree...stuff sometimes doesn't work in used boats. DIY can get weird. I doubt someone deleted the lights then spent the time to cover up their installation. Usually people just replace what is existing, and do a poor job of covering what has been removed.

Amen to that! There is wiring to the switch, but I cannot figure out where it is going. It is highly likely that in the last 25 years, someone probably wired an old accessory to it. I plan on driving to my boat this weekend and wiring in new ones and will trace and pull that wiring if it is orphaned. I am installing a new fuse block anyway in order to modernize and label everything. I've done it many times before and none of those times would I call fun. Hahahaha!
