Welcome aboard Capnbillys!!!

Do you need a Parts List, or a Parts Catalogue?? Usually YOU come up with the list.

I am currently rebuilding a 1800xr, most things i will be making custom. The problem is can't find replacment windshield, glovebox, ect. I would love a catalog, but am really just looking to get a detailed parts list for the boat..
I heard some bayliner parts were available for maxums.

Your windshield is made by Taylor Made! They have a factory in Florida that make replacement windows for your boat. Google them for a phone number.

Your welcome,

Roger

Funny you said that roger, i contacted taylor made before i became a member of this group. They said in emails to me that i would have to get with the oem dealer! I explained that they were out of business, they then told me to contact bayliner, bayliner was no help at all, could not and will not provide me a part# or a replacement. It's crazy, seems like they just abandoned all of us customers.
And shame on Taylor made, we had many emails back and forth, i had hope of just getting my replacement windshield from them..

'Abandoned' is probably a bit much. Maxum boats were made for over 20 years. Each year had over 20 models. Windshields are rarely interchangeable between models. Model years vary, so windshields are rarely interchangeable between similar models of significantly different model years. AND, windshields rarely require replacement. More than 95% of boats on the water have their original windshields (And even that number is LOW).

Now imagine the space required to store these as spare windshields waiting for the <5 orders for replacements a year.

Brunswick ordered them from Taylor made in bulk. This is purely logistics and has nothing to do with customer support.

You need to talk to the right person at Taylor Made? You need to talk to the people down in Florida and not some telephone operater that handles golf clubs.

Lol at the golf clubs.. i live here in Florida and was thinking about making a trip to their shop. At this point i would even pay them to make a custom one. I have also thought about installing the bass boat style windshields, but would really like to have the full window back for the days when the ocean is angry.

I had a broken curved windshield piece made by Ocean Dynamics out of Acrylic for my 1997 Wellcraft. Had to measure the frame on the boat then send them the frame. Cost $678 for one section. New glass windshields were quoted at around $4k.
