Question Photos of Maxum Hull with Deck Removed (Showing Stringers)?

Hi,

Does anyone have any photos of a Maxum hull (1800/SR/SR3/MX) with the deck removed? Ideally circa 2004 showing stringers (locations, thickness, etc). Most likely from a full restoration project, or possibly old manufacturing shots.

I've ran several searches, but found nothing so far. I'm considering installing some inspection hatches in the deck and want to ensure I run between the stringers, etc.

Thanks

James

Stringers run from bow to stern. They will run all the way to beneath the engine. Look at the stringers under the engine and you should be able to visualize where they are as they run forward.

Bulkheads run laterally to the stringers. There will be likely be small bulkheads on the forward and aft ends of the fuel tank. There will likely be several. You will have to look in the engine bay and ski locker to find them. There is usually a bulkhead under the dual consoles. There is usually one around the front of the engine as well.

Thanks Shrew, I have a rough idea where the stringers run. It's more their thickness and their widths apart that I was hoping to find specific details for. I have found a thread on here where someone has removed the deck, but it's an older model with an outboard (nice for insights though). There were some large box sections under the cabin seat area I wasn't expecting to see.

With regards to the bulkheads, I can see the ones containing the inboard petrol tank, and within the locker, but wasn't sure if these run full width of the boat, or just the central bilge area and locker sections?

I'm looking to fit some hatches in the rear engine bay area, in this location (see attached image). This position should be between a set of stringers if my calculations are correct.

However, I am now wondering if the 6" version may be to large and cause structural issues? Wondering if a 4" version maybe a better choice in this area and put the 6" ones under the cabin seats?
