Default Convert Seat Compartment into Livewell

Hey guys,

I don't know whats involved or if its even possible but I'm thinking about converting the compartment under the rear seat of my 1994 2700 SCR into a Livewell.
The rear seat is on a hinge that lifts up and under it is a large dry compartment. I know the live-well needs an aerator and a drain.

If anyone has any experience with live-wells and how they work please share.

Thanks,

- Joe

I've heard of people trying to convert them into a cooler, but not a live well. Express cruisers make HORRIBLE fishing boats. Unfortunately if you wanted to cruise and fish, you bought a cruising boat. Fishing and cruising are huge conflicts in regards to a boat. Cruising boats typically make terrible fishing boats and fishing boats typically make terrible cruisers. You really need to start getting into a 32-34 Convertable flybridge to start comfortably combining the two.

Yea I hear ya shrew, the radar arch gets in the way too :-(
I still go fishing on it though despite the difficulties lol. Usually got 2 heavy poles off the stern for blues or bottom fish and someone snagging bunker or casting on the bow.

I do like the idea of making that compartment a cooler, I didn't even think of that.

I don't use it for storage because on Bronx moorings things tend to go missing lol.
