Default Cockpit Table Base

The plastic base of my cockpit table snapped off the engine hatch mount while I was screwing in the table. The plastic pieces are still imbedded in the mount. I think I need a new mount and a new treaded base to my table (I really don't want to buy a new table). Does anyone out there know where I can find these items?

Thanks, Matt

Happy New Year Matt!

Welcome to the website also. Where are you from and what size boat is this going on? Just curious :-)

West Marine, Overtons, Defender, Bass Pro Shop and or any other marine supply store should be able to help you.

If you have a store in your neck of the woods, just take the bottom plate off and bring it in to match. If not these stores all have websites and just point and click!

Hope this helps and good luck!

Roger

Thanks Roger, I'll bring the hatch mount by West Marine...they didn't have any in-stock but I'm sure they can order it. I have a 2000 Maxum 2400 SCR out of Hampton, VA (on the Chesapeake). I just moved from Clearwater, FL last year.

Is the deck plate on the engine hatch that the table base screws into square shaped or round? Round is fairly common and can be found online at both Defender and West Marine. The square kind (like I have in my 1997) I couldn't find anywhere. You may need to call Maxum Tech. Support directly and see if they have any in stock.

Matt....... if you can't find the square plate ( maybe look for a manufacture's name on back and google to find it ) then plan B.........I would imagine you have cockpit carpet on the top of the engine lid that will hide the square hole pattern to be replaced by your new round plate. You can fill the holes in with bondo and no one will know the difference. Job done!

Just my thoughts........

Roger brings up a good point. Even a bad fiberglass guy could fix that up nice for you. Again, I'd still try a Searay dealer or Tech Support (see sticky in General Forum) you might be pleasantly surprised.
